About Us

Innovate Acoustics Limited was established in 2006 by Kev Foster MIOA, who has worked in the field of Environmental Consultancy for 12 years, and been a specialist in acoustics for over 10 years.

Kev’s decision to establish Innovate Acoustics Limited, was to allow him to develop a specialist acoustics company that could focus on the needs of clients, provide excellent value for money, provide a consistently high quality service and have the freedom to develop innovative and effective ways to produce market leading work.

Three years on, we have worked on over 150 different projects, for over 30 different clients, with 95% of our clients offering us the opportunity to bid for repeat business and 85% actually delivering repeat business to us. We feel that these statistics speak for themselves, in terms of the value and quality we offer.

Kev Foster MIOA - Director

Much of Kev’s experience has been gained working within the specialist acoustics teams of large multi-disciplinary consultancies.  Not only did Kev work on an incredibly wide range and high volume of projects during this time, but in the later stages established and managed both regional and national acoustics departments.

When looking at the extremely wide range and number of projects Kev has been involved with, it become clear why he always describes his years of experience as ‘dog’ years!

When not out monitoring noise levels, constructing detailed acoustic models or writing reports, Kev and wife Kate, like to spend time participating in one of many outdoor activities which include walking their dogs, mountain biking, wind surfing and snow boarding!

Neil Morgan  MSc MIOA - Associate Director

Neil has approximately ten years’ experience in the field of environmental acoustics, specialising in the assessment of environmental noise from a variety of sources, including static installations and transport infrastructure. Neil is an experienced Cadna and Noisemap user. Neil also comes from a background of working within large multi-disciplinary consultancies.

Neil is located in Cardiff and as such, well placed geographically for the delivery of our projects across the UK.

Sarah Bennett AMIOA - Consultant

The project management and delivery capabilities of Innovate Acoustics Limited are underpinned by Sarah.

Sarah joined us in 2008 from a large multi-disciplinary Environmental Consultancy where she worked in the fields of Environmental Acoustics and Air Quality.  

Certified as Competent in Environmental Noise Monitoring by the Institute of Acoustics (IOA) , and a graduate from the IOA Post-Graduate Diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control, Sarah is well placed to help us meet the noise monitoring and assessment needs of our clients.

Network of Associates

In addition to our in-house project delivery capabilities, we also have a network of trusted and highly experienced Associate Acoustic Consultants, located across the UK. This allows us to manage any short term peaks in workload, ensuring that project deadlines are met and also allows us to offer competive pricing across the UK.

All of our Associate Acoustic Consultants are Corporate Members of Institute of Acoustics (MIOA) and have passed Innovate Acoustics vigorous Quality Assurance Standards, allowing seamless integration and collaboration on our projects.
